The analysis of European private international law, notably the Rome I Regulation, will be used to determine whether the fundamental principles of private international law apply to define a particular legal system for smart contracts. At the same time, comparing conflict rules in Vietnamese law with EU regulations in this regard would help Vietnam enhance its private international law provisions and create a legal framework that will be able to deal with the issue of deciding which law to apply to smart contracts
